The shift to hybrid working means employers now have to measure and reduce emissions from millions of homes. They use our home energy tools to cut employee energy bills and source data they can't get anywhere else. Early clients include Capgemini, Sky, JLL, Bupa and IKEA - mostly from inbound enquiries. Clients are already asking us to extend our services to cover other countries. We pivoted in 2022 and bootstrapped to £320k revenue in 2023. Our leadership team has decades of experience in energy, employee engagement, proptech and fast growth businesses. Our vision is for home energy support to be built into every employee offering. Our mission is to be the company delivering that support.
Our hero services are:
• A subscription energy advice platform that can save a home over £700 a year through low cost measures like shower flow reduction and boiler adjustments
• Home energy assessments that help homeowners plan and execute the bigger measures: heat pumps, solar, insulation, etc.
We also offer two ancillary services:
• Engagement webinars - important sales tools, used by clients to launch our other services to their employees and by us to upsell higher revenue products.
• Renewables certificates purchasing - we match electricity used by employees with renewable power supplied to the grid - just as if the employee had switched to a green tariff.
Hybrid working has created a carbon problem for employers. In the words of Capgemini, "our real estate portfolio has grown by 14,000 homes". But unlike workplace emissions, employers have zero visibility or control of home energy use. They desperately need access to quality home working emissions data, and the tools to reduce those emissions.
We make money in three ways:
- Recurring revenue from per-user subscriptions to our advice platform, paid by the employer, and for carbon data sourced from the platform
- One off service fees paid by employees (i.e. for energy assessments) and employers (e.g. for service set up or webinars)
- Referral fees paid by companies whose products and services we recommend through our advice platform and home energy assessments.
