Okappy is an innovative B2B communications platform which rethinks the way businesses manage their day-to-day jobs. It applies social and market network technology to a real business need – the need to communicate and collaborate when working with multiple sub-contractors, sites or clients. It streamlines processes, reduces paperwork and increases efficiency, making a significant difference to bottom-line profits, and gives you complete control of every job, every step of the way.
From a PC, laptop, tablet or phone, the business owner logs into the Okappy network and creates a new job. This becomes the hub of a network of communication. Tasks can be allocated to contractors, clients and workers are kept up to date, progress can be monitored and, as tasks are completed, paperless invoices can be raised and sent.
Everything relating to the job is in one place - easy to access, easy to monitor, easy to manage. It gives the business complete control and up-to-date information, whether in the office or on the move.
Companies, whether large or small, often have problems with broken communications. They have a need to manage multiple day-to-day business activities across different locations. They may sub-contract tasks out, they may have employees working at different sites, and they definitely have a need to communicate with clients quickly and efficiently. Current technology doesn’t support them, and Okappy is the perfect solution for this gap in the market.
In the UK, the construction, electrical contracting and housing maintenance industry alone had cumulative costs of over £4bn and broken communication is a big factor in this.
Okappy charges a monthly subscription for access to the platform. This is based on the customer size, typically £300 per month for a company with about 10 engineers and turnover around £1m. The company also generate upfront revenues for configuration (£350) and for our customer change programme (£350 per half day). Okappy are also starting to generate revenues from payments processed between our connections. These revenues are currently small but we believe they will provide a large proportion of our future revenue.
